Suzlon gains over 3% on BSE

Suzlon Energy Ltd.suzlon-energy-ltd15130070Leading wind turbine maker, Suzlon Group gained as much as 3.05 per cent during the early morning trade on Bombay Stock Exchange on bagging a new order for setting up 24 MW capacity wind power turbines in Brazil.

Cheering the news, shares of the company gained as much as 3.05 per cent on BSE, while later on at 10:00 AM, it quoted at Rs 20.15 a piece, up 2.54 per cent from previous close.

In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading at Rs 20.20, up 2.80 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 16,178.25, up 13.16 points at 10:08 hours.

The project has been awarded by Servtec group and is scheduled to be commissioned in phases by December 2013. This was the second contract awarded by Servtec to the Suzlon group, while Suzlon earlier has successfully completed 11 such wind farm projects in Brazil, since its foray into the country in 2006.
