How to Make Bacon Cupcakes

Cupcakes are delicious. Bacon is delicious. Why not combine two great things to make an amazing flavor combination? It may sound unusual at first, but give it a try before denouncing it as odd...it's quite possible you'll become a devotee!

1 1/2 cups of sifted all-purpose (plain) flour1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder2 teaspoons of cinnamon1 teaspoon of grated nutmeg1/2 of a teaspoon of salt3/4 cups of unsalted butter1 cup of sugar1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract (essence)3 large eggsMaple syrupHalf-and-half6 strips of cooked bacon8 ounces, 226g of cream cheese1 cups of sifted confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)Brown sugar

Chocolate bacon cupcakes:

12 slices bacon2 1/2 cups all purpose (plain) flour3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder2 cups white sugar2 teaspoons baking soda1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon sea salt2 eggs, large1 cup cold brewed coffee, strong1 cup buttermilk1/2 cup vegetable oil1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder, extra for dusting

Maple bacon cupcakes1Preheat the oven to 325ºF/163ºC. Arrange the cupcake paper liners in the cupcake or muffin baking pan.
